Intro:
Mysterious Ways: A Divine Comedy is a fantasy + science fiction webserial set in a world with various sentient creatures (angels, werecats, humans, etc.) and both magic and advanced technology.
It centers around a group of gods in mortal form attempting to make sense of the world, discover their true purpose, and not get killed by that mysterious group that likes to go around killing mortal gods. ‘Cause, you know, dying kinda sucks.
The Story So Far:
Arc[0] = “I Want Out”
Alex and Lilly arrive at the Angel Academy, where they must learn the skills required to “fulfill their holy destiny”. Like all angels, they were given a choice: go through training and fulfill their “divine destiny”, or have their wings cut off and their magic stripped away.
Things quickly got out of hand, and the Academy now believes they’re prophets.
Lucifer: And the “fun” has only just begun. Heheheheh.
theWriter
Not a lot to say. I’m a geek. In college, getting a degree in Computer Science. Hoping to get a job in game development (one of the few ways to combine math/science/computer stuff and creative writing). I’m also a big Linux fan, and I recommend everyone at least try Ubuntu or Linux Mint, because you never realize how crappy Windows is until you try Linux. So, make a bootable USB drive, fire it up, and give Linux a chance.
I started writing in 2010–feels like way longer–and published my first novel in the summer of 2011. Since then, I’ve come to realize that I don’t actually want to write professionally; I just want to write. I want to write, and I want people to enjoy my writing, but I don’t care much for forcing people to pay for it. So I’m going the free route now.
As a side-note, I’m also working on making my own video game. It will most likely be a 3D action-adventure/platformer type game, but at the moment, I’m still gathering and testing ideas, so there’s not a lot I can tell you. But the game will be available for Linux, OS X, and Windows.
License:
No formal license (yet), but if you want to do something with my characters or world, I’m okay with that, as long as you give me credit and provide a link to this site. And I suggest telling me about it, because then I’ll give you virtual BACON!!
Okay, more practically, if you’ve got a site or something of your own, I’ll check it out, and if I like it, I’ll probably link to it. (If I don’t like it, try adding kitties. I have trouble saying no to them.)
Privacy Policy (because Google Analytics says I need to do this)
Through Google Analytics, I’m collecting some anonymous info about how the site is used, including “Demographics and Interest Reporting”. Basically, this means that I’m trying to find out what you (my readers as a whole, not you personally) are interested in. With a better idea of my audience, I can try to make the series more appealing to you. It will also help when I get off my lazy ass and start marketting, because it’ll give me a better idea of where to look for potential readers. If you have a problem with this, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser add-on, or disable cookies. From what I can tell, those are the only ways to do it. Google also collects some data for its own use, which is mainly to tailor ads towards your interests. You can manage settings for that here.
